Rosewindows Paper Art with Satoko

In this workshop store, you can choose one of several designs and create your own rose window using special paper in the color of your choice. When the finished Rose Window is allowed to shine through the light, it creates a unique art of light.

What is a rose window?

A rose window is a type of stained glass window found in European churches that is composed of geometric figures based on circles. It is called a rose window because of its resemblance to the shape of a rose. Rose window is a paper art reproducing such traditional rose window technique with special thin colored paper.

2023: Obtained certification as an instructor from the Japanese Rose Window Artists' Group and Art of Light onde.

Completed a course on Japanese paper rose windows and Japanese style rose windows.

2024 Started activities in Berlin. First Onde~ certified instructor abroad.

2024 Exhibited at the Art of Light onde exhibition “The World of Rose Window made with the thinnest Japanese paper in the world”.
