Chigiri-e art workshop

  • CISpace 9 Bugenhagenstraße Berlin, BE, 10551 Germany (map)

Chigiri-e (Japanese Torn paper art) is an art that uses Japanese paper that has been popular in Japan since ancient times. It is made by tearing paper into small pieces by hand and pasting them onto a base paper using glue.

The instructor will prepare a draft of various Japanese lucky charms. Participants will choose their favorite motif. You will tear origami paper, wrapping paper, washi paper, etc. into small pieces by hand. Paste those small pieces of paper onto the paper with the motif with glue. Your original lucky charm will be completed.
